Fun Diving

For certified divers, both Kalpitiya and Trinco offer fun dive trips starting at 7:30a.m. with equipment checks, paperwork, and a pre-dive briefing. Departure is typically between 8:00–8:30a.m., with each dive lasting around 45–50 minutes, and the timing of the second dive depending on the first dive’s bottom time, followed by a surface interval of 1–1.45 hours before returning to the dive center after the second dive. Packages include dive equipment, snacks, coffee, and water (bring your own empty bottles), but you must present your certification and log book. Kalpitiya features some of Sri Lanka’s top dive sites with abundant marine life, while in Trinco, dive sites are chosen based on your certification level.
