Dive Against Debris
For Experienced Diver (experience required)
The PADI Dive Against Debris® Specialty Course empowers divers to take direct action in marine conservation by removing underwater debris and contributing to the world’s largest underwater cleanup movement. Through one open water cleanup dive, participants not only help clean the ocean but also collect and report valuable data that supports global conservation efforts. Designed for environmentally conscious divers, this course requires a PADI Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent) and is ideal for those who want to be a voice for the ocean—one dive at a time.

The PADI Open Water Diver course has three key phases: knowledge development, confined water dives, and open water dives. You start by learning scuba basics, equipment use, and safety skills through PADI eLearning® at your own pace, online or offline. Next, you’ll practice essential skills like mask clearing and safety checks in a pool or calm water. Finally, you’ll complete four open water dives with an instructor, applying your skills while exploring underwater. Upon completion, you’ll be certified to dive with a buddy up to 18m/60ft anywhere in the world for life, with the option to refresh your skills anytime using the PADI ReActivate® program.
