West Coast

- Kalpitiya

At Kalpitiya, divers can explore over 20 dive sites ranging from 5 to 40 meters in depth, including reef, rock, and wreck dives. These sites form part of the Bar Reef Marine Sanctuary—the largest coral reef system in Sri Lanka, covering over 300 square kilometers. The reef hosts vibrant hard and soft corals, with marine life such as reef fish, moray eels, turtles, and occasional reef sharks. Despite past bleaching, many deeper, protected areas remain healthy.

Kalpitiya also features lesser-known wrecks on sandy bottoms, drawing fish and offering great conditions for underwater photography. With good visibility and calm seas from November to April, it’s emerging as a hidden gem for diving in Sri Lanka.

East coast

- Trincomalee

At our Trincomalee Dive Sites around 6 km south of Nilaveli there are also deeper sites up to 30m to discover. The bottom at the deeper dive sites is mostly sandy or rocky. Mostly you can spot big schools of Barracudas and Trevallies as well as Sting & Electric Rays and Moray Eels.

Sometimes you can also see Whale Sharks but these are really rare. You can be happy when you can spot one of these creatures.

Explore fascinating rock formations with colorful coral reefs, diverse aquatic life, underwater statues of gods and large schools of tropical fish. Also possible to visit recently opened (2020) Underwater Museum or a Shipwreck, both located near to the Trinco town.
